The World Just Keeps Spinning

It's been a very long time since our last post.
I don't even know where to start...
Blake I are now an uncle and aunt, to sweet baby Briggs. I saw this outfit last week that said "My auntie is awesome" and I just had to buy it for him. He is so spoiled;)Rex's surgery went well and the cancer hasn't spread, but because it's esophageal cancer they want to do some more chemo just to be safe. He will start that process again soon and he isn't very thrilled.
Blake and I started school. I feel like we will be in school our whole life. I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. We aren't even half away till X-mas break and I about have a nervous break down every other day.
The fact that I resigned as Cedar's Drill Team Coach just adds so much more. Yes, that's correct I quit. I had to stand up for myself. I wasn't going to be apart of something that was so wrong. I will not throw away my integrity. It drives me absolutely crazy that I can not stop thinking about it and I just picture myself sitting there at the table being bashed about for 3 hours! I found out that my blood pressure is high, and I know for a fact that it's because of that whole situation. I do believe that if I would have stayed, I would have had a heart attack.-I'm not being a drama queen- If you only knew what crap I put with you would understand. No one should EVER be treated the way I was. I don't think some people really understand what it means to be a Christian, and to treat others the way Christ would. It just blows my mind. I wish I could just take a pill that would erase my memory of the past 7 months. I knew it would tough, and I was up for the challenge, but I didn't think it would end up like this. I feel as if I am ruined. A person can only take so much emotionally and mentally. I don't really understand what Heavenly Fathers purpose was for me and why it all played out the way it did. I did learn what kind of parent I will never become and what kind of child I want to raise. I know that I am the way I am because of growing up in the south. I am grateful for my parents and raising me into such a respectful adult. I truly miss Texas, Utah just doesn't compare with the respect meter... It'll probably take me a long time to get over everything because just the stupid little things get to me. For example, we went to Delta to watch Hadley play football and their drill team performed and I started to cry. I pretty lucky to have support from other coaches, parents, friends, and of coarse my family. THANKS!
Bad noteS... The tanning salon that I work out it closing!
My last day is September 29.
I won't be done with school for another 2 1/2 years.
Which I am just so thrilled about! And puts off having kids...

I swear it's just one thing on top of another.

Summer Happenings

Lots has happened these past few months. Blake is working at CAL Ranch and is loving it. He comes home with a list of things he wants and we spend like half of his pay check there. Ha! I have been doing Mohey this summer and working at Southwest Tanning Salon. I took my officers to Officer Camp and I was blown away with how talented they are! I'm so lucky to have such great officers. We had team camp at home this year and we all slept in the gym together! I must say I'm a freaking amazing coach, along with my assistant, for sleeping there. Good memory but was very glad to go home and sleep in my own bed with my husband next to me=) I'm so proud of the girls and how they handled camp- it was hard and pushed them very hard, but did awesome! The routines were great and can't wait till competition!!! Cedar celebrated the 4th on Monday so Blake and I got to go to Delta Saturday. We weren't able to go to the parade=( because Blake had to work but we hustled over there to go to the DERBY! I felt like this year it wasn't as good as past years because the announcer was not my favorite- they need to get my Uncle Jim back!- and there wasn't very many people in the heats. After spending Sunday in Delta we came back to Cedar. The girls performed so good in the parade and got so many compliments. Once again, I'M SO PROUD!!! Right now we have a break and get July off but as soon as August comes we are back to practice.

My cute little team at camp=) Love them!

4th of July Parade

Blake and I went home to Texas to visit my family and to be there for Rex's surgery. The surgery is a pretty big deal and was scheduled for that week but unfortunately his white blood cells were too low so had to reschedule it for next week. My mom is such an amazing person and is doing a great job taking care of Rex. When we first got there I could hardly look at Rex because you could tell that he was in alot of pain and it just broke my heart. This cancer is really beating Rex down and hopefully this surgery will take care of it. Rex is the type of guy that will do anything for anyone. A couple of his friends came by to cheer him up and you could tell that they were really lucky to have a friend like him and were very concerned about him. The day we found out that Rex wasn't going to be able to have his surgery we got into a car accident! We were on the fwy and some 18 rear ended me. What happened was some stupid thug was backing up on the shoulder fast and was swerving into my lane and everyone slammed on their breaks. Our plan was to trade my car out there for a truck but for some reason that was not in Heavenly Father's plan... and my car is in the shop=( So as soon as my car is fixed, we are selling it and getting a truck. I do feel like we could of spent more time with Rex than going to go look at trucks. It was really hard to leave and even thinking about it makes my tear up. I love my family more than anything in this whole world and it sucks that they are so far away. I'm lucky to have Blake's family so close and love them with all my heart but it's just not the same.

Family Picture

Blake and I met up with my gal pals from high for dinner one night. It was really good to see them and to catch up on what is happening in their lives. I do miss those old days of hanging out at each others houses laughing nonstop about everything and going on crazy drives around town. GOOD TIMES=) I think Blake felt a little awkward because he was the only guy. I have the best husband ever though!

Now it's just work work work and no play... When I have a few days off Blake has to work, and when he has a day off I have to work. Life does not go according to plan sometimes. But you got to love it!

Making Lemonade...

Life has thrown my family a ton of lemons at us... my mom says we will be making a ton of lemonade.
My step-dad has been diagnosis with esophagus cancer. They caught it pretty early but he can't swallow anything... The word cancer is a pretty scary word and for some reason I always picture the devil's face when I hear that word- probably because it's so awful! Anyways growing up I hardly ever heard of anyone getting cancer and then when I came to college it's like as common as the flu or something. It just seems that more and more people are getting it. The first person I knew real well that had cancer was my seminary teacher. He was probably the most spiritual person I ever knew. When he became my teacher, he hadn't been a member very long, he just has the coolest life story about his conversion story to getting married and having the most beautiful daughters- I wish someone would write a book about him because he seriously was an amazing man.
How about some good news now?! Well Blake and I will be an uncle and aunt to Jesse and Natasha's baby BOY! I knew it was going to be a boy=) We are so excited and thrilled for them! Blake will have to put me on a tighter budget because I will want to buy him everything. This little one will be so spoiled because he has so many people that are going to love him so much! I just can't wait till he gets here!

I'm A Terrible Blogger

Alot has happened in the past month, let's recap...
For spring break Blake and I went down to Vegas with some of our friends for a few days. The resort was amazing, had a ton of fun, and got to see some interesting people. It was nice to get away from the snow. After Vegas, we fly to Houston to go visit my Dad down there. We went to the Houston Rodeo- Blake was in heaven! We also saw Brooks and Dunn in concert. My mom came up to see us and we went with her to the Houston Temple and then to Kemah. Plus we did a little shopping=) I was glad she came up for a day.

As for right now, Blake and I are just getting ready for finals! I'm so glad that it's almost summer=) I wish it was summer all year round. Blake is working at Cal Ranch and I am looking for a job that will work around Mohey. They are the sweetest girls and I love being their coach. GOO MOHEY=)
Some bad news though... Blake's beloved horse, Cadillac, past away last Friday. He had him since Blake was 12 years old and has won alot of ropings on him. He was a good old horse. I just hope there is a Heaven for animals or else I will be so sad. I know I will be a mess when my old dog, Bandit dies- he is back home in TX with my family... Yes we still have Baby Ace who is getting so big!

Grrreat News!!!

So we have some great news! No I'm not pregnant. I was actually wondering if we should be trying to start a family because it feels like everyone else was pregnant and having babies. But now I know that it's just not our time yet, that will come in due time. But the great news it that I am the new Head Coach of the Drill Team at Cedar High School! I saw that they were taking applications and thought 'why not try? I have nothing to loose.' So I did=) Had a good interview and won their hearts over! I'm really excited and have some big shoes to feel since they won state this year, but I am ready for the challenge. I just hope that I can be as good as my director was. She was such a great role model to me and I want to have a great impact on the girls as she was to me.

Where Has The Time Gone

Wow, it's been awhile since we've updated our blog...
There has been lots going on. Blake and I are back in school. Not that busy as last semester but we still have plenty of studying and homework. We figured out that I will graduate in Fall 2011! And Blake will be applying for pharmacy school about the same time I will be done, so we will luck out (hopefully).
But let's back up. Over the break my parents came to Delta to stay awhile. It's always a good time when they come! We had a great Christmas Eve, even though I had to sit on Santa's lap (I was one of those kids who was afraid of Santa, and I haven't seemed to shake that off yet), but it was good to have everyone there at the Myers. Waking up Christmas day next to my husband was awesome! We got alot of presents... and a new puppy, Ace! He is a austrialan shepard border collie and he is so funny! He loves the snow! We also had the adventure of helping my family give shots and pregger checking a cow. Yes, I stuck my arm up it's bum and felt a baby, soo cool! But they have some very wild cows and one tried to attack me!!! I went to close the gate behind it and the cow ran at me, thank goodness for watching rodeos because I jumped on the fence and that stupid cow missed me by a second. Fewww! Blake about had a heart attack. HAHA. We also went duck hunting in freezing weather! We took Jaxon and he had a good time too.
It was good to have a break from school and to be with our family. Thanks everyone!

Christmas Eve- What a good lookin family!

I say no more...

The twins had their baby blessing. They looked so cute in their little tuxes!

Blake's family and my family all went sledding together at TV Hill... so fun!

Having a Nativity scene with 2 "baby Jesus" with cowboy Joseph and 2 cleaning wise men.

Went to go see the lights at Temple Square. So Beautiful!

Thanksgiving & Black Friday

Blake and I spent Thanksgiving this year with his family. It was fun, we had Thanksgiving dinner with the Myers side on Wednesday night and then went up to American Fork on Thursday and had the real Thanksgiving there with the Cloward side. It was good to see everyone and eat and eat some more=) Oh and can't forget football... GOOO COWBOYS!
It's always been my tradition to get up early and go shopping on black friday. So this year was perfect since we were by all the right stores! We planned our route and everything that we were going to buy the night before. We woke up at 2:30 am to go to Old Navy at 3 because they were having a big sale were tee's were $5! Well we get there and they only open 1 stinkin door... We decided to just stand around until the line got done but then everyone started yelling at us-even the store manager- because they thought we were going to cut them in line! I wasn't going to put up with those ronchy people so we decided to go to JcPenny and waited for 45 minutes there until the doors opened at 4am. Then we ran over to Walmart, that was a nut house! Blake was gaurding one thing and I was gaurding another. Haha! Once we got our goods, we drove to Shopko, and then off to the mall. Overall it was a good time and I'm glad I got to keep my tradition with my husband=) We would have spent $326 but since it was Black Friday, we only spent $106! It was totally worth it and now we are done Christmas Shopping.

This is at Old Navy... the line was past the picture.

This is at Walmart- we were in line to check out.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and if you went shopping, I hope you got as good as sales as we did!
